What happened in September 1950:
The UN forces advances - Forces stormed ashore at Inchon at the same time that Korean troops advanced from Pusa - The North Koreans were pushed back beyond there original border.
What happened in October 1950:
The UN force presses on - Mao threatens America that if they continue to push he will intervene in the war. US Troops reach the Yalu River.
What happens in November 1950:
The UN forces retreats - The United Nations forces were pushed back into South Korea. The Chinese had intervened at had modern tanks and planes supplied by the Soviet Union.
What happens in April 1951:
MacArthur is sacked - MacArthur wanted to push into North Korea and use Nuclear bombs but Truman though communism had been contained.
What happened in June 1951:
Peace talks begin - Fighting reached a stalemate around the 38th parallel. Bitter fighting continued for two more years.
What happened in July 1953:
Armistice - Truman was replaced with President Eisenhower. The armistice was signed July 1953.

NO the border was much the same as it had been before the war started in 1950.
