What does moral imperative mean? (kohlberg)
A principle originating inside a person’s mind that compels that person to act in a certain way. (certain acts are either right or wrong)
What is the background of Kohlberg?
Motivated by piaget’s theory of moral development Kohlberg gradually developed his own staged theory and suggested that have 3 levels of moral thinking:
Moral thinking stages:
Pre-conventional
Conventional
Post-conventional
What is the aim of Kohlberg?
To present evidence in support of his theory of moral development.
What is level 1 of theory of mind?
Pre-conventional (age 4-10)
What is level 2 of theory of mind?
Conventional (typically adolescent and adults)
What is level 3 of theory of mind?
Post-conventional
