Knowledge Translation Flashcards

1
Q

What is knowledge translation (KT)?

A

Sharing research findings, insights, and experiences.
Also referred to as knowledge mobilization, knowledge sharing, and knowledge communication.
A dynamic process that includes researchers and knowledge users (any individual who is likely to be able to use the knowledge gained through research).

Q

How do researchers choose their KT strategy?

A

Research question or study purpose should drive the KT approach.
Consider the intended audience.
-ie. community members to learn about a healthy eating program, versus coaches to learn about concussion management
