What makes Christianity different than other world religions?
a. Christianity is a “Done” religion and all other religions of the world are “Do” religions
b. Christianity tells us that Jesus did it all for us. Other religions say we must do something for God or gods in order to be saved or earn favor.
What is a Lutheran?
a. A Lutheran is a Christian. There are many other Christian denominations
b. A Christian denomination is a church that believes that Jesus is the Son of God who lived died and rose so that we might have life
Where does the Lutheran Church get its teachings?
a. The Bible
b. All the writings and doctrines (teachings) of the Lutheran Church are based on the Bible
Are there different kinds of Lutheran Churches?
Yes. Immanuel is a part of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod
What are the names of the three major Creeds confessed by Christian Churches around the world?
a. Apostles’ Creed
b. Nicene Creed
c. Athanasian Creed
Why do we publicly confess our faith?
a. The Bible says that if we, “confess with our mouth and believe with our heart, we will be saved”
b. Because God gave you a mouth!
If there is something in the Bible, something you see in worship, or something a pastor says that you don’t understand what should you do?
a. ASK QUESTIONS – Then ask more questions!
b. We don’t change the Word of God. However, God gives us brains and we should use them.
How do we grow in faith?
a. Read the Word of God
b. Be in Worship

How do we deal with people in the world that have different religious and different world views than we do?
a. We love and care for them. We pray for them
b. We are always ready to share the hope we have in Jesus
