- AIIS.
- a rough area immedilatley above the acetabulum.
REC FEM Insertion
Upper border of the patella.
Vastus Lat Origin
upper lateral part of the intertrochanteric line, lower border of the greater trochanter
Vastus Lat Insertion
lateral border of the patella.
Vastus Med Origin
Media border of the intertrochanateric line and upper end of the shaft, medial lip of the line aspera, medial intermsucular septum and tendon of adductor Magnus.
Vastus Med Insertion
medial border of the patella and the medial condyle of the tibia
Vastus Intermedius Origin
upper 2/3rds of the anterior and slightly lateral surface of the femur.
Vastus Intermedius Insertion
deep surface tendon of Rec Fem
Nerve supply of Quads

Semitendinosus Origin
ischial tuberoisty
Semiten Nerve
Sciatic Nerve

upper facet of the ischial tuberosity
Semimem Insertion
posteriomedial surface of the tibial condyle. from there fibres spread anteriolaterally to attach to the oblique popliteal ligament

Biceps Femoris Long Head Origin
ischial tuberosity with the tendon on semitendanosis
Biceps Femoris insertion
Both heads blend with long head lying superficially to the short head, it can be felt crossing the posteolateral aspect of the fibula. attaches to the head of the fibula.
Biceps Femoris Short head Origin
Lower half of the lateral lip of the lines aspera.
Biceps Femoris Long head nerve supply

Gracillis Origin
Anterior aspect of the pubis and inferior ramus on the ischium.
Gracillis Insertion
medial surface of the shaft of the tibia.

Oburator Nerve

Gracillis Action
Flexor of the knee
Knee semi flexed it medially rotates the knee.
