Vastus lateralus

Vastus medialis

Popliteus
O: lateral femoral condyle I: posterior proximal tibia N: tibial N (L4-S1) F: - stabilizes knee joint - unlocks knee joint (ER femur on fixed tibia)

I: suprapatellar bursa associated with knee joint

F: pulls bursa/ capsule away from knee joint during knee extension

I: lateral sides of EDL tendons (toes 2-4)

Extensor hallucis brevis
O: superolateral surface of calcaneus
I: base of proximal phalanx of great toe
N: deep fibular (S1, S2)
F: ext of great toe @ MTP joint
Abductor hallucis
O: medial process of calcaneal tuberosity
I: medial side of base of proximal phalanx of great toe
N: medial plantar (S1, S2, S3)
F: ABD/flex great toe @ MTP joint
FDB
O: - medial process of calcaneal tuberosity - plantar aponeurosis I: sides of middle phalanges of toes 2-5 N: medial plantar (S1, S2, S3) F: flexes lateral 4 toes @ PIP joint

quadratus plantae
O: medial and plantar borders of calcaneal tuberosity
I: FDL tendon

F: assists FDL tendon in flexion of toes 2-5
