16
Q

Education- meniscus injury

A

Wk 1- 70 deg ROM, 20% wB
Wk 5- 130 deg ROM, FWB
Wk 6- unloaded flexion
Wk 7- loaded flexion

17
Q

Meniscus repair- Early and Immediate Exercises Precautions

A
  1. leg press- 8wks, 0- 60 deg
  2. stationary bike- seat as high as possible to limit flexion
  3. squat- no knee flex > 45 deg (4wks) or > 60-70 deg (8wks)
  4. gradual increase in knee flexion
18
Q

Meniscus repair- Advanced Rehab

A
  1. no deep squat, deep lunges, twisting, or pivoting until 4-6mos
  2. no jogging until 5-6mos
19
Q

Classification- ligament injuries

A

1st- minimal damage, no loss of function
2nd- some torn, functional compromise
3rd- complete rupture, loss of function

20
Q

PFPS causes

A
quadriceps weakness
weakness VMO
Tight IT band
Tight hamstrings
Weak or tight hip muscles (adductors, abductors, ERs)
Tight calf muscles
21
Q

Open Kinetic Chain- the lowest PJRF is at ___________

A

40-90 deg flexion

22
Q

Closed Kinetic Chain- the lowest PJRF is at ________

A

0-16 deg (initially)

0-30 deg (progressed)
