ACL lachman’s test
supine, knee at 20-30 degrees flexion and place knee under the patients, one hand behind tibia and the other on thigh and then pull tibia anteriorly
PCL sag test
supine, knees flexed at 90, look for the tibia to ‘sag’ compared to the position of the femur
LCL varus
supine, patient leg on lap and holding lower leg, push against medial knee/thigh to put stress on lateral side (then repeat with knee flexed at 20-30)
MCL valgus
supine, holding lower leg, push against lateral knee/thigh to put stress on the medial side (then repeat with knee flexed at 20-30)
McMurray’s test
supine, one hand holds the knee and palpates the joint line while the other hand holds the sole of the foot and make a horseshoe shape to test the meniscus
Thessaly’s test
patient stands on one leg, then rotates knee and body internally and externally
Dial test
prone, flexion of knees and hold both feet and then externally rotate feet so that heels are touching and then measure foot-thigh angle
SLR test
supine, patient raises their leg and hold their heel to maintain knee extension
