How to do McMurray’s exam
A
For meniscal tears
IR of the tibia and Varus (out) stress= lateral meniscus
ER of the tibia and valgus (in) stress= medial meniscus
Positive if pain, snapping, clicking, locking

How to perform lachmans test
A
For ACL
Knee flexed at 20-30 degrees with towel or own knee
Anterior pressure with thumb on tibial tuberosity to assess laxity
Positive= excess laxity
The intact ACL should cause a firm end feel, torn= soft end feel
