Q

What is the MMP equation?

A

bottom pressure + over bottom pressure = MMP

Q

How do you calculate required cylinder pressure for EGS?

A
  1. Calculate Vr (variable rate) assuming 1.4 acfm for descent and bottom phase, and 0.75acfm for ascent and decamp phase: Vr = (D+33)/33 x 1.4 x T for ascent or Vr = (D+33)/33 x 0.75 x T
  2. Convert variable rate into PSIG based on type of cylinder Floodable volume (FV): PSIG required = Vr/FV x 14.7 + Pm

*Pm is minimum cylinder pressure (135)
