Q

When must Air Breaks occur?

A

every 30 mins

Q

When completing the 20fsw O2 stop, does the diver take an air break?

A

no - they ascend while continuing on 100% O2

Q

Where is the Travel/Shift/Vent time charted?

A
At 30fsw (added to O2 stop)
*unless first stop isn't until 20fsw, in which case T/S/V time would be added to the 20fsw O2 stop.

Q

After which Air Break stop should SUR-D divers ascend directly to the surface?

At what rate?

A

Q

What are the components of a SUR-D Surface Interval?

What is the max time this should take?

A

Ascent from 40 fsw (1 min)
Undress time
Descent in chamber (50fsw at 100fpm = 30sec)

5 mins
*if 5-7 mins extend first 15 mins at 50 to 30 mins
if > 7 mins - treat with TT5/6

Q

Oxygen period 1 is always at _____
2-4 are spent at ____

Q

When you experience a delay (>1min) on ascent deeper than 50fsw, what do you do?

What about shallower than 50fsw?

A

add to bottom time and recompute table/schedule. This includes between Air stops. If already shallower than first stop on new table, add that time to the time spent at current depth

add time to divers 1st decompression stop (ie 1 min delay at 45 feet will incur 1 additional minute at first stop = 2 total extra minutes to the dive)
