Q

loading response

A

subtalar /rearfoot - GRF lateral causing eversion tibialis anterior and posterior eccentrically contracts
patella - internal rotation of the leg controlled by tensor fascia latae and gluetus maximus
pelvis - hip adduction (due to the transfer of weight to the stance limb) controlled by eccentric contractions of gluteus medius

Q

midstance

A

subtalar /rearfoot - GFR lateral eversion when tibialis posterior eccentrically contracts (early) GFR medial and slight inversion as tibialis posterior isometrically contracts.
pelvis - hip abduction; gluteus medius concentrically contracts

Q

pre swing

A

subtalar /rearfoot - GFR close to subtalar joint but inversion due to the tibialis posterior concentrically contracting
pelvis - adductor longus and gracillis eccentrically contract to control hip abduction
