Q

Cost assessment -
- why would re-tendered costs be reduced exactly? Did you estimate the cost savings, perhaps by % saving of re-tendered works?
- did you estimate the costs for additional professional fees? What would these additional fees be for?
- why would late use of instructions result in additional costs? Did you estimate these?
- Why would costs be ‘doubled up’ for preliminaries and OHP? Did you estimate these costs?

Q

Risk assessment -
- Did you assess what the impact of ‘future market rates’ might be? Did you estimate costs for this, perhaps as a % of works being re-tendered?
- Why would there be a loss and expense claim from the contractor? Did you estimate costs? What loss and expense claims might they make?
- Why might Cabinet Approval not be granted? When would the next Cabinet meeting be sitting? Is this a suitable time frame?
- Why would two contractors on site impact progress, CDM management, and consistency of works? Did you consider perhaps letting the first contractor to complete the works then the second contractor to start on site to avoid this complication? How would two contractors on site be managed?
