The spread of city buildings and houses into an area that used to be countryside

The giving of resources, training or money to assist developing nations
Top Down Aid
Rich countries building factories and roads and dams etc.
gives jobs and purposes eg. exporting goods
Doesn’t help the lower down members eg. farmers
Bottom Up Aid
Supplies services like health clinics or more seeds to plant for small scale, rural businesses.
Poor become richer, more demand for goods
Then more industry is built and government become wealthier as there is taxes.
Intermediate Technology
The simple easily learned and maintained technology used in a range of economic activities serving local needs in LICs
