What does conscience mean?
An inner voice that keeps a person on the right track, something that helps a person choose right and avoid wrong
What does just war mean?
War that can be justified according to agreed conditions
What does pacifism mean?
Trying to promote peace, avoiding all kinds of harm and violence to others
What does non violent protests mean?
Making a stand using entirety peaceful means, showing disapproval without damaging property or causing harm
What does reconciliation mean?
Making up after and argument or dispute and working together again
What does conception mean?
The joining of egg and sperm for a new life to begin
What does embryology mean?
Experimenting on embryos and earlier forms of life
What does quality of life mean?
The extent to which life is meaningful and pleasurable
What does sanctity of life mean?
Life is precious and beyond value. It is given by God

To remove a body part and replace it with a different body part

Discussion between members of different religious groups, exploring common ground/belief between different faith groups

Riles and agreed limits to behaviour and action
What does community mean?
A group of people with with something in school
What does duty mean?
Something a person is expected to do, or be, because I’d conscience or religious belief, or because of the law etc
What does human rights mean?
Something to which a person is entitled because they are human. Things that have been agreed that everyone be given
What does justice mean?
Where everyone has equal rights and opportunities, people are treated without prejudice or discrimination
What does good mean?
Deriving from God, an action, saying or person that is commendable
What does evil mean?
Something that leads to harm. An action, saying or person that is corrupt and wicked
What does suffering mean?
The experience of pain or severe discomfort, having to undergo unpleasant or traumatic experiences
What does innocence mean?
Completely pure and uncorrupted
