The fact that mr billing is acting like a God emphasises his hubris as he thins he is better than God. the Inspector attempts to bring him back to reality and essentilaly humble humble him as he the noun ‘ members’ hints that everyone is equal and has a part to play- challenging Mr Bs ideology that he is above everybody else - reflects the challenging and humbling nature of the inspector.
