- John Beaufort, Duke of Somerset led an aimless campaign through Brittany and Maine, achieving nothing and returning to Brittany
- He died 27th May 1444
- The campaign appears to be the root cause of resentment between the House of York and the Beaufort family
- Somerset was paid £25,000 whilst York remained heavily in debt
- Effectively reduced York’s role from being English Lieutenant for all of France to simply governor of Normandy

- English collapse of Normandy within 15 months. French army over 25,000 vs. English down to 7,000 by the end

- May-July 1450: Cade’s revolt
- 27 September: York arrives in Ireland
