Internalisation
A
When the individual agrees and changes their opinions and actions both publicly and privately. This is often permanent and the deepest form of conformity for example, changing religion. Usually the result of Informational Social Influence.

Compliance
A
When the individual publicly agrees with the opinion or actions of the group but they privately disagree. This is a shallow form of conformity that is temporary. Usually the result of Normative Social Influence.

Identification
A
This is a combination of Compliance and Internalisation. We agree because we identify with the group and look up to them. There is an actual change in views.
