This is the process in which green plants trap light energy and use it for the proeduction of food. Carbo dioxide from the atmosphere is combined with water from the soil to make glucose. Oxygen is produced and released as a by product.

What happens at the Calvin cycle?

Carbohydrate is produced by a metabolic pathaway called the calvin cycle. What happen is the enzyme RuBisCo fixes carbon dixiode from the air by attaching it to ribulose bisphosphate (RuBP) to form 3-phosphoglycerate (3PG).
