Q

What is the order of stages in DNA replication?

A
  • DNA unwinds to form two template strands
  • Primers bind to complementary bases by hydrogen bonds
  • DNA nucleotides flood in and join with complementary bases is hydrogen bonds
  • The sugar-phosphate backbone is formed when DNA polymerase joined nucleotides to the 3’ end of the new DNA strand
  • DNA fragments found on the lagging strand are sealed together using ligase
  • Each daughter strand rewinds
