- extremely lipid soluble
- hepatic metabolism -> norketamine -> hydroxylated/conjugated -> water -> renal excretion
- renal elim t1/2 2-3 hours

A
increase SBP, HR, SVR

Pulmonary effects
A
no resp depression, except increased with opioid use

A
increase CBF, ICP, CMRO2
**contraindicated with head injury
