What is Go-Look-See / Gemba and when should you do it?
Gemba is a Japanese word meaning ‘the real place’ (of work) and a Gemba Walk is to Go and See what is really happening.
Used to go and observe a process to collaboratively look for improvements
What is an IWIE and how do you use it?
Inspect What I Expect (IWIE) is where you are looking to confirm a change / process / behaviour is doing what you expect.
An IWIE would be completed through both observation and discussions with the team.
What is a Perfect Week and why are they important?
A weekly planning tool to help you understand where you are spending your time.
You then can review and revise your time so you are ensuring you are focusing on the right things.
What is Test and Learn and why is it important?
The testing of ideas / solutions with a small number of locations or customers to predict the wider impact.
It encourages a safe to fail and learn fast mindset and enables colleagues to try out new initiatives and be persistent with CI.
