What are the three main scores the MMSE can give?
Mild: 20-26 points: Person can live at home with some help (maybe driving?)
Moderate: 10-19 Points: Needs help at home, Problems occur in communication and reasoning. 3A: Aphasia, Agnosia, Apraxia
Serious: <10 Points: Person needs help 24/7, conversation impaired, cognitive issues can lead to extreme behaviour.

How can you assess general intelligence?
RPM (Ravens Progressive Matrices)
WAIS-IV (Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale -IV edition)
What are some problems with (psychological) tests?
If they are made in one part of the world, people in another might score differently (bias)
Difficulties in communication might influence the results -> The test should be adapted by the person administering it
When should one consider consulting the (social) environment for making a diagnosis?
When the person is missing insight into their struggles (forgotten/part of the diagnosis)
What should always be focus and explored in a clinical Interview?
Resilience and Resistance in the client.
What can be challenges when doing diagnosis?
Resistance when giving information:
- when sendt there against their will
- When paranoid
- When uncomfortable sharing
When unaware:
- Serious personality disorder
- Psychosis
Secondary intentions:
Wanting/avoiding a diagnosis
Getting benefits from getting the diagnosis
