Q

Explain, with reference to what you have learnt, Kant’s philosophy. [4 marks]

A

Kant’s philosophy was a drive to establish a “Middle Way” between rationalism and empiricism. Kant believed that knowledge comes from both our mind and our senses working together not from one or the other. He thought that in order to have a clear view of our world, a balance of our mind and senses working together is needed. Without our mind, our senses only paint a half-complete/blurry image however with our mind, we can get a clear idea of the world.
