- Edema
- HTN
*Usually in combo with thiazide or loop for these indications- to help with K loss - Hyperaldosteronism- drug used to compete with existing aldosterone.
- Adrenal adenoma, adrenal hyperplasia
- Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome [most common clinical use] /Hirsutism/Acne- off label
- By blocking androgen receptors and inhibiting steroid synthesis

- peptic ulcer

- Hyperkalemia – possibly life threatening.
- Due to steroid structure – gynecomastia, impotence, menstrual irregularities
- Diarrhea
- Gastritis
- Gastric bleeding
- Peptic ulcers
