K-910 Buster Flashcards
Perform a calibration of the K-910 Buster.
-Place on calibration block
- Press and hold the trigger and wait 2 seconds
- Press and release the LOCK/MODE buttons simultaneously
- Wait 10 seconds (1 beep/second, with a double beep when complete)
- Press and release the MODE button (three beep when complete)
- Release trigger
- Depress trigger to check calibration (reading between 90-110 on calibration block)
Put the Buster into each mode and articulate the features of: Raw Data Mode
Default mode and is the baseline at the starting point of the scan
Put the Buster into each mode and articulate the features of: Data Scan Mode
With trigger depressed press MODE once. Identical to Raw Data mode but with audible tone upon significant change in density
Put the Buster into each mode and articulate the features of: Zero Scan Mode
With trigger depressed press MODE twice. Sets baseline at Zero, and has audible tone upon significant change in density +/- 10
Perform a scan in Raw Data or Data Scan Mode, demonstrating the proper technique: Scan Speed
2-3 inches per second
Perform a scan in Raw Data or Data Scan Mode, demonstrating the proper technique: Scan Pattern
Grid to search area then cross hair to pinpoint exact location
Perform a scan in Raw Data or Data Scan Mode, demonstrating the proper technique: Interpretation of Readings
Higher number = more dense material
Lower number = less dense material
Initiate the backlight.
Press and hold trigger
Press & hold the backlight button
Demonstrate and explain the purpose of the lock button.
Press and hold the trigger.
Then press and release the Lock Button
Purpose- Allows you to lock the display reading from an area of limited accessibility and limited visibility or in awkward locations where you are unable to see the reading being display.
