JIT aims to reduce wastage by pproducing required items in required quality and quantities at the precise time they are required.

How does it work
A
- Demand pull process
- Each operation produces only what is necessary for the following operation to goo smoothly
-Production does not take place until their is a signal from the following operation indicating the need to produce.
-The demand pull process starts from the customer and goes bac to the supplier for direct materials to arrive just in time for the production. JIT aims to keep the production flow moving with no stoppages and no storage.
