Selection process

A
  1. Court clerk draws names from a box at random until 15 to 20 have been called.
  2. Once picked, the crown may challenge each person or a lawyer doesn’t want that person to serve.

Or

Both cancels may consent to you serving as a juror on the trial. Once accepted you will be sworn in or affirmed, and then seated in the jury box

What is challenge for cause?

A

A request that a perspective that a person be dismissed because they’re specific reasons to believe that person lacks impartiality
