Explain Juran Chart
We begin with quality planning, when creating something new. Once the process of development starts it becomes apparent that the product is not 100% defect free, due to hidden failures and variations. Acc to the chart around 20% of the work must be redone. This waste is considered chronic and cannot be removed until the root cause is identified and eliminated. This is called cost of poor quality. There is a spike in the chart where the cost of poor quality is increased to 40% due to unplanned events such as power failure, process breakdown or human error.
