What is Judicial Review?
. Is the power of the Supreme Court to declare acts of congress, or actions of the executive and state governments unconstitutional and thereby void.
State 2 examples of where Judicial Review has come into effect
. In 2016, presidents Trumps travel ban was ruled by the Supreme Court as unconstitutional and as a result Trump was forced to moderate certain areas of the bill so its case would be accepted by the courts.
. In 2000 W. Bush v. Albert Gore Jr. Five weeks after the presidential the Supreme Court ruled that the Manual Recount scheme devised by the Florida State was unconstitutional because it violated the ‘equal protection’ clause of the 14th Amendment.
