Religious rules given to Moses by God

God’s divine presence. E.g. - with Adam and Eve in Genesis or when guiding Moses to free the slaves.

613 laws followed by Jews.
Pikuach Nefesh
The mitzvah of saving a life, which overrides all other rules
Shema
Declaration of faith. Prayer. States the belief in ONE God
Tzedakah
KEY MORAL PRINCIPLE -
Jews give money to those in need to bring justice to the poor.
Free Will
The concept that humans have the ability to choose right from wrong (like Adam and Eve)
Tikkun Olam
KEY MORAL PRINCIPLE to heal the world
Judge
NATURE OF GOD - God can forgive and determine what will happen in the year ahead and the afterlife.
Judgement Day
A time of judgement when God will judge the living and the dead based on how they lived their life.
Law Giver
NATURE OF GOD - God gave the laws to Moses for Jewish people to follow.
The Messiah
Orthodox Jews believe that the Messiah will be a human sent by God to establish justice and peace on the earth.
Moses
Freed the Jews from slavery in Egypt. God gave him the 10 Commandments.
