A

Joints are the place where two bones meet or come together. Joints hold your bones together and allow your rigid skeleton to move.

Define a Cartilagenous Joint in the body and give one example?

A

Cartilagenous Joints, made up entirely of cartilage (fibrocartilage or hyaline joints). Usually in joints where there is slight movements bones.

Example: Vertebrae in you spinal column, also where the pair of pubis bone join.

Define what a Synovial Joint is? [M1P9]

A

Synovial Joints are joints where there is very good ROM. The ends of each bone are lined with articular cartilage (hyaline) and is surrounded by a capsule which is filled with synovial fluid to stop friction.
