  • They are longer than they are wider or thicker
  • They are mostly in areas where there a lot of movement or leveraged movment. ie Arms, Legs, Fingers, Toes

A

Short bones are usually in areas where there is little or slight movement ie. Carpal in your wrist. They look like rounded cube shaped bones with almost equal height, width and thickness.
