JVMF
JVMF mode provides transmission and display of received Over the Air (OTA) JVMF messages as provided by the Improved Data Modem (IDM)
JVMF mode provides capability to control and manipulate the FMS for keypad entry purposes
Reception rate if up to 16kbs; ethernet cables
Cannot send out more than 16 messages at a time
A listing of URNs (Unique Resource Numbers) that are loaded via the PCMCIA card for every IDM initialization.
Can have 4 UTOs
Improved Data Modem
Is initialized upon power up. Take approx 1.5 minutes to boot up. When the inboard MFDs are turned on, they will automatically connect to the IDM
FMS will allow you to log into the JVMF… gives us OVER THE HORIZON communications using the BLUE FORCE TRACKER
3 login attempts
Username and password file is NOT held in the IDM after shutdown. Also does not save your incoming or outgoing messages
(Group message can only be up to 16 receiving units at a time)
JVMF controls and functions
All JVMF pages will have similar pages elements, even though each page is designed for its respective purpose
Main menu modes on the RIGHT side
Main menu display in the center
Submenu display to the right of the main menu display (astrix is the selected submenu)
Page Title at the bottom center
JVMF centered below Page Title
Menu nav controls at the top
Auto-reporting - on means your A/C is reporting its position
File Load on the setup page loads data from the PCMCIA card
Messaging
Save URN - if someone messages you that is not in your list of a max of 50 saved URNS, you can save it if you have room.

? Symbol means they want an acknowledgement
