As a rule, heavy equipment such UPS, Core switches and SAN’s etc are recommended to be installed at the bottom of the rack.

The top of the rack is intended for optical port equipment.
Explain why Patch Lists are important?
Patching lists provide corresponding information from the patch panel to the end location of the Telecoms Access Point (TAP). This ensures that it is easier to patch in any new connections in the future and in the event of faults, they much easier and quicker to locate.
