Full-time staff
Permanent jobs in establishment + work all yea
Contract with terms of employment set out in writing
Set shifts or shifts that change daily (depending on how busy establishment is)
Often set amount of days in week (including weekend)
Part time staff
May work set days of week or have set shifts
May be permanently employed, but less hours than full time staff
Often works when establishments are busier
Casual staff
Specific functions & are often employed through agency
No contract or set set work hours
Called in during busier times of year (Christmas, new year…etc)
Often work for same establishment every year, know their way around & how company works
Some casual staff may not know their place of work till week before

Range of job roles available: -management and administration -front-of-house -accommodation Within each of these groups there are various jobs
Management
Manager
Assistant manager
Management
There may be a manager in all different areas of a large establishment but only one in a small one
Manager
In charge of day-to-day running of the company, responsible for making a profit
organising every area
Assistant manager
Responsible to the manager
Work assigned to them by manager
In charge when manager is absent
