3 Ways to Palpate

A
  1. Spinal Column: Top to Bottom
    Look for tenderness, deviation, gaps, protrusions
  2. Positive Reaction: tenderness, lumps, cord like, temp
  3. Points: Ashi Pts
    Specific Points: backshu, Ren, xi-cleft, 4 limbs, He-Sea, Front Mu
    palpate meridians bi-laterally
    *Kidney 1 is located on medial side of baby toe for testing excess or deficiency

3 Ashi Point Meanings:

A
  1. Diagnosed Meaning: If an alarm point is tender
  2. Treatment Meaning: Needle the most sore pt first
  3. Crying Points: points needing treatment and if ignored will become worse
    Ie. Sp6 if sore treat because if not the pain will increase
