What characterizes Jin Ye pathology?
damage to Jin Ye fluids or pathological accumulation of Jin Ye
Deficiency, dryness, edema, phlegm
Eitology of Jin Ye pathology
Dietary - too dry (foods that make one thirsty) or
too hot (dries the person out)
Lack of water or wet foods
Antihistamine use
Smoking
Loss of fluids through sweating, fever diarrhea, vomiting, heavy periods, loss of blood.
Dryness, dry skin, dry mouth, dry nose, lips, throat, dry cough, scanty urine, stools dry, difficult to pass or pebbly. What pathology is this?
Deficiency or damage to Jin Ye fluids
What does the tongue look like if there is deficiency or damage to Jin Ye?
Tongue is dry and cracked
Pulse: Thin pulse in ST/LU if damaged and Thin pulse in SP/ST if not enough fluids
Dampness vs Phlegm
Dampness:
EPF, indigestion, fatigue, IPF - diet but does not obstruct sensory orifices
Phlegm: Not from EPF, IPF only - diet, stress, lifestyle, can obscure orifices cause withdrawal, manic, disorientation, obsessions.
