The pharaoh had commanded to kill every new born boy. An israelite couple has moses which they kepped for 3 months. In hope of him being rescued, his mother sent him out in a basket in the river. The pharaohs daughter went to the river and by chance found moses. She adopted him as her own son so moses grew up as the grandson of the pharaoh

He was watchung the israelites at work until he saw an egyptian beating a hebrew slave. This angered him and he hit the egyptian so hard that he killed him. He knew the king would want to kill him so he fled
