What is Jet Upset defined as?

A

Anytime the airplane is diverting from the intended airplane state. An upset can include pitch, roll, and/or airspeed deviations.

Nose Up >25º or Nose Down<10º
Bank Angle >45º
OR
Flight within these parameters but with airspeeds inappropriate for the conditions

A

Stick Shaker, Buffet, Lack of pitch and roll authority, inability to arrest descent rate.

Recover from stall if req.
Roll wings level
Nose up Elevator and Trim
