What is the difference between a closed centre system and an open centre system ?
Closed centre system has a variable pump while the open centre system has a fixed displacement pump.
What are the two styles of outriggers ?
- Single stage

What is the difference between a single stage and double stage outrigger ?
A single stage outrigger uses only one hydraulic cylinder to extend and retract beam while the dual stage uses a double stage cylinder to extend and retract beam
What are the two types of winches ?
- Flat drum

What is the benefit to a grooved drum ?
Should help re wrap cable in proper position when spooling line back in.
Name the four parts of a swing system.
- Swing motor
- Swing ring or rotation bearing
