What is the Magna Carta?
A
Latin for great charter. A charter that limited the kings power in England. Signed by King John of England in 1215

What is Parliment?
A
Formed under the Magna Carta, Parliment is 2 houses, House of Lords and House of Commons. It was formed to advice the King. Its greatest power was to be able to approve taxes. this power was called the power of the purse.

What are The English Bill Of Rights?
A
A list of rights the English people were guaranteed. Signed by King William and Queen Mary. Some of the rights are taxes and money can not be used for his personal gain, keeping a standing army at pace
