What area does the Veneto cover?
A
Extends from the southern end of Lake Garda in the west to Venice in the east, and ranges from the foothills of the Alps in the North to the flat plains of the Po delta to the south.
Covering such a large area, it is Italys largest wine producing area in most years.

What makes the Veneto one of the largest producing regions?
A
Largely due to the worldwide popularity for Prosecco and Pinot Grigio. Also home to the two well known DOC/Gs Valpolicella and Soave. These make both entry level and high quality wines.
