He is the Angel of Death that will return human souls to Allah. It is important because it teaches them to live how Allah intended to be rewarded in the afterlife.

A

Shia’s would believe that Allah would not leave humanity without access to divine guidance so an Imam’s role is to rule justly over the community to maintain Islamic law and guide the community. This is important because it is one of the five roots of usual al din which is a foundation of Shia belief and it proves Allah’s beneficence.
