What do Fundamentalists believe about the creation story ?
They believe it to be literally true as the bible is the word of God.As a result they believe that the world was created in six, 24 hour days. They do not accept scientific explanation like Big Bang.
What do Liberals believe about the creation story ?
They believe that the story of creation is metaphorical. As a result they believe that Genesis is more of a myth and view the word day as a metaphor for a longer period of time. This allows them to accept scientific explanation to explain how and religion to explain why.
Why was Jesus crucified?
He was killed on the cross as he was accused for blasphemy and found guilty.

3 days after the crucifixion Jesus resurrected ( was brought back to life) .

The resurrected Jesus ascended after 40 days (went to heaven).

Why is Jesus’ crucifixion, resurrection and ascension important to Christians?
It is important as it shows that he was the son of God incarnate and that he is special and worthy of respect.
Demonstrates to Christians life after death which gives them hope.
Atonement was achieved which shows that God can forgive.
What is original sin?
In the Garden of Eden Adam and Eve disobeyed God and this is what caused human nature to be flawed.

The mending of the relationship between humans and God. This is acquired through the death of Jesus.
