Smoke Color, etc.

Checks for extension (4)

A
  1. Ensure boundaries are set
    • Make rounds to boundrymen
  2. Sounds Tanks and Voids
    • Within 50 ft in all directions of damage
    • Do not sounds potable water
    • Example: If you sound a void and there is water or fluid you know the extension of the casualty and you report it to the RLL.
  3. Visible signs of damage
    • Smoke
    • Flames
    • Warping Bulkheads
    • Bubbling Paint
    • Split seams or joints
  4. Hidden signs of damage
    • Minor loss of power
    • Wisp of smoke
    • Dropping pressure gauge
    • Excessive warmth at a sea
    • Tripped circuit breakers
