Light availability, water availability, space and nutrient availability
What is the role of the mineral nitrates?
it is needed to make DNA and amino acids. The amino acids join to form proteins needed for healthy leaf growth.
What happens if a plant does not have nitrates?
Older leaves are yellowed and the growth is stunted.
What is the role of the mineral phosphates? and what does it contain?
It contains phosphorus.
It’s needed for healthy roots.
What happens to a plant when it doesn’t have phosphates?
The younger leaves have a purple tinge and poor root growth.
