Coelom
A body cavity that contains the internal organs.

The two sides of its body mirror each other. It has equal right and left sides. Most complex animals.
Radial Symmetry
The body is organized around the center, like the spokes of a wheel.

Its body is organized around the center. Most simple animals.
Sponges
Simple aquatic animals with dense, yet porous, skeletons.
Cnidarians
any member of the phylum Cnidaria a group made up of more than 9,000 living species.
Flatworms
a group of soft-bodied, usually much flattened invertebrates.
Roundworms
parasitic worms that comprise the phylum nematoda.
Mollusks
any soft-bodied invertebrate of the phylum Mollusca, usually wholly or partly enclosed in a calcium carbonate shell secreted by a soft mantle covering the body.
Open circulatory system
A circulatory system in which the circulatory fluid is not contained entirely within vessels.
