Inverse Dynamics Flashcards
What is Moment of Inertia?
Determines the resistance to angular acceleration
Determined by the axis of rotation and the distribution of mass away from that axis
(The Smaller the Moment of Inertia = the more rapid the acceleration)
What is Radius of Gyration?
The Distance from the axis of rotation to the point where the segments mass could be concentrated (without altering its rotational characteristics)
What is the formula for Forces?
Σ Force = Mass x Acceleration
What is the formula for Torque?
Σ Torque = Inertia x angular acceleration
Units for each of the following

Formula for a single torque?
Torque = Force x Moment Arm
