200-700km in diameter.
What do tropical storms initially begin with?
Intense low pressure resulting from surface heating, into which warm air is drawn in a spiralling manner.
Name 6 conditions needed for a tropical storm to occur?
Ocean temp at 27 degrees. Ocean depth 70m. 5 degrees north or south of equator. Low level convergence air. Atmospheric instability. Latent heat and moisture supply.
